Workshop to explore 'Property Taxes--What to Do if You Cannot Pay?'
The Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library will host a "Property Taxes--What to Do if You Cannot Pay?" workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner will educate attendees on the delinquent property tax timeline and will give them information and tips on what steps they can take to help save their homes.
This workshop is the first in a series of five public lectures on legal topics that will be presented in the first half of 2012. The lecture series is called The People's Law College. Members of the public are invited to attend and educate themselves to get answers on legal issues. They will gain first-hand insight from the minds of local attorneys.
The People's Law College is sponsored by the Public Services Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association. The workshop is open to the public. There is no charge to attend, however seating is limited to 40 people. The public is encouraged to register in advance with the Oakland County Bar Association. To register, call 248-334-3400. Beverages and light snacks will be provided.
The Adams-Pratt Oakland County Law Library is located at 1200 North Telegraph Road in Building 14 East, which is on the second floor of the West Wing Extension located in the five-story glass building attached to the main courthouse building.
