Employment, employee benefits 'Hot Topics' to be discussed March 22

The Oakland County Bar Association's (OCBA) Employment and Employee Benefits Committees will present "2012 Hot Topics for Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits Attorneys" on Thursday, March 22, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Oakland County Bar Center in Bloomfield Hills. This seminar will discuss issues that labor, employment and employee benefits attorneys encounter on a regular basis in their pratice. Topics will include: * Employment agreements. * ERISA litigation in the 6th Circuit. * Common compliance issues. * WARN Act issues. * ERISA Section 4062(e) liabilities. * Affordable Care Act updates. * Employee wellness plans. Panelists will include Thomas Shaevsky of Butzel Long; Roberta Granadier of Butzel Long; Gabriel Marinaro of Dykema Gossett PLLC; Sonja L. Lengnick of Kienbaum, Opperwall, Hardy, & Pelton PLC; and Robert M. Sosin of Alspector, Sosin, & Noveck PLLC. The cost for OCBA members who pre-register is $45 with OCBA new lawyers who pre-register paying $32 and non-OCBA members who pre-register pay $60. For OCBA members paying at the door, the cost will be $60 and for OCBA new lawyers it will be $42 and for all non-OCBA member the cost will be $80.
