Federalist Society to host panel on right-to-work
The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies will conduct a panel discussion titled "Right to Work: Right or Wrong for Michigan?" on Thursday, March 1, at Wayne State University Law School at 5 p.m. A reception will be held at 4:30 p.m.
The panel members will represent both sides of the issue and will include a speaker to discuss the scholarly aspect and a speaker to address the political realities on each side.
The speakers include: Stan Greer, senior research associate at the National Institute for Labor Relations; Rep. Mike Shirkey (R-Grass Lake); Prof. Roland Zullo, assistant research scientist at the University of Michigan's Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations; and Rep. Vicki Barnett (D-Farmington Hills and Democratic Whip).
The event is being moderated by Dennis Devaney who is a former member of the National Labor Relations Board.
