Man accused of Michigan mosque threat closes case

DEARBORN (AP) -- A California man accused of making a terrorism threat against a Detroit-area mosque has pleaded guilty but mentally ill and been transferred to federal authorities. Roger Stockham was arrested near the Islamic Center of America. Authorities say he had fireworks in his car and threatened an explosion at the mosque. The Imperial Beach, Calif., man has a history of mental illness and has been locked up since January 2011. Records show federal marshals took custody of the 64-year-old Stockham after a Wayne County judge placed him on probation 2 weeks ago. He'll next go to Vermont. The Michigan case may trigger a probation violation in an old criminal case in federal court. In 2002, he was accused of making threats against President George W.
