Gas station clerk arraigned in condom cost killing

DETROIT (AP) -- A Detroit gas station clerk will stand trial in December in the shooting death of a man during a dispute over the price of condoms. Ibrahim Saleh was arraigned Monday in Wayne County Circuit Court. He's charged with first-degree murder and having a firearm during a felony in the March 10 slaying of Michael Haynes. Haynes was shot in the back. Prosecutors have said Haynes knocked over several shelves of merchandise in the gas station. Authorities say Saleh entered the merchandise area and shot Haynes as he was leaving the business. A final conference is scheduled Sept. 21 before Saleh's Dec. 3 jury trial.
