Oakland University raises tuition 2.9 percent
AUBURN HILLS (AP) -- Oakland University has decided to raise tuition by 2.96 percent for the next school year.
School trustees approved the tuition rate Monday as they adopted a yearly budget.
The school projects about 20,000 students in the fall. Oakland University's campus straddles the Auburn Hills-Rochester Hills city limit.
The increase for full-time in-state undergraduates amounts to $307 for the academic year. The Detroit News says tuition and mandatory fees for 2012-13 will total $10,706, compared with $10,399 the previous year.
The increase for graduate students is 2.94 percent.
