The Michigan Defense Trial Counsel (MDTC) conducted its Winter Meeting titled “Developments in Commercial Law That Every Litigator Should Know” on Friday, Nov. 2, at the Hotel Baronette in Novi.
During the meeting’s lunch, the Judicial Award was presented to Michigan Supreme Court Justice Marilyn Kelly (second from left) in recognition of her service to and on behalf of the civil bar, the legal profession, and the public.
The MDTC Respected Advocate Award was presented to Laurel McGiffert (second from right) of Plunkett Cooney PC.
Happy to congratulate the honorees were (left to right) MDTC Secretary Lee Khachaturian of Dickinson Wright PLLC, MDTC President Timothy Diemer of Jacobs & Diemer PC, and MDTC Commercial Litigation Section Chair John Mucha of Dawda, Mann, Mulcahy, & Sadler PLC.
Also during the lunch, Katherine Smith Kennedy (not pictured) was presented with the Michigan Association for Justice’s Respected Advocate Award.
