Judge orders man to stop selling Datsyuk items

PONTIAC (AP) -- A local judge has ordered a man to stop selling memorabilia featuring the name, image or jersey number of Detroit Red Wings star Pavel Datsyuk. Oakland County Circuit Judge Martha Anderson on Wednesday issued the preliminary injunction against Terrance Sullivan and his companies, Pasha Sportswear and Pasha LLC. Datsyuk's nickname is Pasha. He's suing Sullivan, claiming the Oak Park man has been selling T-shirts and other items with his name or likeness without permission. Sullivan's lawyer, Kevin Stoops, says his client's business isn't "a bootleg operation." Anderson allowed Sullivan to maintain a Facebook account related to Pasha, but ordered that he include a disclaimer that the page isn't associated with Datsyuk. The Red Wings forward is seeking unspecified damages. A trial date has been set for Sept. 9. Published: Fri, Feb 8, 2013
