Man sentenced in roller skating rink shooting
PONTIAC (AP) -- One of three men charged in a shooting at a 2011 roller-skating party in suburban Detroit with about 300 people in attendance has been sentenced to up to several decades in prison.
Twenty-year-old Robert Lee German was sentenced Wednesday in Oakland County Circuit Court in Pontiac after pleading no contest to charges including assault with intent to murder in the Dec. 23, 2011 shooting at the Rolladium Skating Center in Waterford Township.
German was captured in August after being found hiding under a bed in his mother's Pontiac home. His lawyer says German has taken responsibility for his actions.
Investigators say the shooting was gang-related. Several people were wounded.
Two others charged in the shooting, Cheyenne Ingram and Tre-Andis Jamison, earlier were convicted and sentenced.
