Doing business with federal government focus of workshop
Southeast Michigan businesses have an opportunity to gain insight on doing business with the federal government from a Washington, D.C.-based attorney from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, at the Macomb-OU INCubator at the Velocity Collaboration Center, located at 6633 Eighteen Mile Road in Sterling Heights.
Butzel Long Tighe Patton attorney Bill Eshelman will discuss "The Legalities of Doing Business with the Federal Government." During the workshop, Eshelman will discuss:
* Significant contrasts between commercial and federal acquisitions.
* Principal areas of federal contracting and related authority of federal personnel affecting each.
* Common and potentially deadly areas confusion.
* A few best practices.
In his more than four decades of legal practice, Eshelman has held responsible positions at the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals, and several major federal agencies with responsibilities that include the full range of federal contracting. Eshelman is a partner with Butzel Long Tighe Patton in Washington, D.C. (Butzel Long also is a member of the Washington D.C. law firm, Butzel Long Tighe Patton).
Seating is limited for this program and registration is required. To register, call Joan Carleton at 586-884-9324 or email: macINC@oakland.edu.
