Man found not guilty in nightclub bouncer's slaying

DETROIT (AP) -- A man has been found not guilty in the fatal stabbing of a bouncer at a popular Detroit nightclub. The Macomb Daily in Mount Clemens reports that a jury reached its verdict last Friday in 21-year-old Trevon Dumas' trial. Deliberations started last Thursday in Wayne County Circuit Court in Detroit. Dumas was being escorted last September from Club Pandemonium following a fight when 41-year-old Lewis Ferrin was stabbed multiple times in his head and neck. Ferrin was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Defense attorney Cena Colbert White argued that prosecutors didn't prove during the trial that Dumas stabbed Ferrin.
