The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) Criminal Law Committee continued its Anatomy of a Criminal Case – Year XV, a brown bag lunch lecture series, with “Sentencing Guidelines Training” on Tuesday, June 18, at the Oakland County Bar Center in Bloomfield Hills.
On hand for the lecture were (left to right) Anne Yantus, managing attorney at the State Appellate Defender Office, and Douglas Oliver of the Law Offices of Douglas K. Oliver PLLC.
“We’re covering sentencing law updates today which will include scoring decisions on Michigan sentencing guidelines but also updates from the U.S. Supreme Court – two recent decisions – and then some updates from the Michigan Court of Appeals and Michigan Supreme Court,” Yantus said.
