Climate Conversation hosted at Wayne Law

Wayne State University Law School will host a Detroit Climate Conversation on Thursday, June 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Law School Building, Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium, 471 W. Palmer in Detroit.

Climate change impacts are quickly emerging as a key issue of concern in many urban communities throughout the country. Many of these communities are disproportionately exposed to a high concentration of toxic industries, which further exacerbates climate related health hazards.

This program will foster education and awareness on the impact climate change will have in Detroit, and nationally.  There will also be information on the Detroit Climate Action Collaborative (DCAC) and solicit input for recommendations on a framework to outline goals and short-term and long-term action steps.
