Residents affected by flood urged to explore all their legal rights

The Michigan Association for Justice wants Michiganders affected by Monday's flooding to know that they have legal rights and urge anyone affected to seek legal assistance. "The flood was caused just as much by our lack of investment in our infrastructure as it was by the historic rainfall," said Scott A. Goodwin, president of the Michigan Association for Justice. "As residents finish cleaning out their basements and trying to get back to normal life, the Michigan Association for Justice urges them to be vigilant about protecting their legal rights relating to the flooding." The Michigan Association for Justice will post resources and timely updates for those affected by Monday's flooding. Those interested can visit http://themaj.org/ for additional information.
