Jewish Detroit school to open $5M expansion
FARMINGTON HILLS (AP) - Hillel Day School of Metro Detroit is planning to unveil a $5 million renovation project.
The Oakland Press reports the independent 550-student Jewish day school in Farmington Hills will host a public celebration on Aug. 27. The new Audrey and William Farber Family IDEA Collaborative features science and art labs, a greenhouse and audio and video studios.
Head of School Steve Freedman says the collaborative is the latest in a series of renovations over recent years to provide students with state-of-the-art technology.
The Farber family donated funding for the expansion to the Jewish Federation of Metro Detroit's Centennial Fund.
