Man convicted in convenience store slaying

PONTIAC (AP) - A 44-year-old man Detroit man has been convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting death of a popular Farmington Hills convenience store owner. Cassalle Nettles of Detroit was found guilty last Thursday of first-degree murder, armed robbery and other charges in the slaying of 59-year-old Duraid Lossia in December at Tom's Party Store. Sentencing is set for Oct. 20 in Oakland County Circuit Court. He faces life in prison without parole. Published: Tue, Sep 23, 2014
