Residents invited to learn about new proposed water deal at town hall
Oakland County Commissioners Nancy Quarles and Janet Jackson will host a special informational town hall meeting on Monday, Oct. 6, at 6 p.m., at the Lathrup Village City Council Chambers located at 27400 Southfield Road in Lathrup Village.
Oakland County Chief Deputy County Executive Gerald Poisson will discuss the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department, the creation of the new Great Lakes Water Authority, and what the deal means for Oakland County residents.
Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions to get a clear understanding about the proposed deal and voice concerns.
The public is encouraged to come ready to participate as this will be an interactive session with county leadership.
Commissioner Nancy Quarles represents the cities of Lathrup Village, Oak Park and Southfield in District #17.
Commissioner Janet Jackson represents the cities of Farmington Hills and Southfield in District #21.
