New attorneys pass July bar exam, local admissions ceremonies planned

The list of those who passed the July bar exam has been posted by the State Board of Law Examiners and is available on the Board’s website, http://courts.mi.gov/courts/michigansupremecourt/ble/pages/default.aspx.

Local admission ceremonies have been planned and include the following:

• The Oakland County admission ceremony is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 21, at 11:45 a.m.    New attorneys are asked to arrive at 10:45 a.m.  The ceremony will be conducted at the Commissioners’ Auditorium at the Oakland County Courthouse, 1200 N. Telegraph Rd. in Pontiac.  Pre-registration is required and forms are available at www.ocba.org.  Questions can be directed to Jan Anson at 248-334-3400 ext. 209 or janson@ocba.org.

• The Macomb County Bar Association will conduct its new lawyer admission ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 4 p.m. at the Macomb County Courthouse 4th floor courtroom of Judge Peter Maceroni, 40 N. Main in Mt. Clemens. Participants are asked to gather in the area outside the courtroom at 3:15 p.m. Law school graduates who passed the bar exam and wish to register for the admission ceremony should contact the Macomb County Bar Association at 586-468-2940.

• The Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association/Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan New Lawyer Admission Ceremony will take place Monday, Nov. 24, at 12:30 p.m. (check-in begins at noon) at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center 13th Floor Auditorium in Detroit. All new attorneys who plan to take the oath at this ceremony must register online at www.detroitlawyer.org.  For additional information, contact Mitzy Sharp Futro at msharpfutro@detroitlawyer.org.
