'Federal Jurisdictional Principles' focus of FBA seminar offered Jan. 14
The Rise Committee of the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will conduct the second in this year's Power Brown Bag Lunch Series on Selected Topics on Civil Litigation. The Wednesday, Jan. 14, session will be on "Federal Jurisdictional Principles" and feature Wayne State University Law School Professor Robert Sedler as guest speaker. Sedler will discuss the often-misunderstood principles of "justiciability," including standing, mootness, and the case-or-controversy requirement.
The seminar will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in Room 115 of the T. Levin U.S. Courthouse in Detroit. Registration is requested by Friday, Jan. 9. To register, contact Bethany Stawasz, bstawasz@clarkhill.com or 313-965-8412; or Roger Meyers, meyers@honigman.com or 313-465-7468.
