Inkster man charged with human trafficking

INKSTER (AP) - Authorities say a 38-year-old Detroit-area man engaged in human trafficking while orchestrating an online prostitution operation.

Attorney General Bill Schuette announced Wednesday that Jahan Satati Green of Inkster is charged with multiple felonies, including human trafficking and conducting a criminal enterprise. Schuette says Green operated in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties.

The Associated Press sent a message seeking information on whether Green has a lawyer. The attorney general's office says he's jailed on $500,000 bond ahead of a hearing to determine if the case goes to trial.

Schuette says his office's Human Trafficking Unit worked with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on the case. They say the online escort service started in 2006 and Green forced two young people into prostitution, arranging transportation and taking money they received.
