The Oakland County Bar Association’s New Lawyers Committee (NLC) kicked off a year of fund-raising at the annual Summer Splash event on Thursday, August 27, at Duggan’s Irish Pub in Royal Oak. Among those enjoying the mixer were (left to right) Candace Yono of Cohen, Lerner, & Rabinovitz PC; OCBA President David Carl Anderson of Law Office of David C. Anderson PC; Rodney Johnson of Law Offices of Rodney M. Johnson PLC; Jacob Cunningham and Megan McGown of Oakland County Circuit Court; Jonathan Martone of Clark Hill PLC; Matthew Wood of Law Offices of Jeffrey Sherbow PC; William Knight of Lakeshore Legal Aid; and James Martone of Dickinson Wright PLLC. Each year, the NLC chooses a local charitable organization to support and this year the members of the NLC have selected Lakeshore Legal Aid’s Counsel and Advocacy Law Line (CALL). All proceeds from the NLC networking and social events will be donated to CALL in a special on-field check presentation at a Detroit Tigers game in June 2016.
