On Tuesday, November 10, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) invited the press to tour its Midwest Regional Office, the Elijah J. McCoy Satellite Office located at 300 River Place Drive in Detroit. Happy to welcome visitors to the office was Alford W. Kindred (pictured), regional manager. In its efforts to connect with the local innovators, the Elijah J. McCoy Satellite Office recently hired community outreach employees tasked with creating awareness about the tools, programming, and resources offered to local educators, inventors, entrepreneurs, startups, and researchers.
