Third man gets life for fatal shooting tied to marijuana

PONTIAC (AP) - A third man has been sentenced to life in prison for the fatal shooting of a young Oakland County man during a break-in and search for marijuana.

The no-parole sentence was mandatory Monday for 21-year-old Terrence Bunting.

Jacob Hershberger was shot a year ago at his Waterford Township apartment. Police believe Bunting was the first to enter the apartment in a search for money and marijuana.

Blake Marcum was accused of firing the fatal shot, but Judge Martha Anderson put much of the plot on Donald Davis. They received no-parole sentences on Nov. 10.
