One Tuesday, March 15, the Michigan Lawyers Chapter of the American Constitution Society will present “Justice Denied,” a program about the wrongful convictions of Detroit brothers Thomas and Raymond Highers for which they served 25 years in prison.
Speaking at the program will be Valerie Newman of the State Appellate Defender Office who represented the brothers.
The program will take place from 12:45 to 2 p.m. in Room 226 at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, 651 E. Jefferson in Detroit. For additional information, call Prof. Gary Maveal at 313-596-9826.
