The Women Officials Network (WON) Foundation presented its Quarterly Networking Breakfast at the Troy School Board offices on Friday, Feb. 19.  Among the speakers was Michigan Supreme Court Justice Bridget Mary McCormack (second from left).  Happy to welcome McCormack to the event were (left to right) Secrest Wardle’s Ashley S. Dickey, associate; Margaret A. Scott, executive partner; and Caroline A. Grech-Clapper, executive partner.  Grech-Clapper is currently serving as vice-president of WON Foundation and Scott is a member of the Foundation.  The event featured a judicial panel which included McCormack along with Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Lisa Langton and Oakland County 52-4 District Court Judge Maureen McGinnis.  The panel was moderated by Oakland County 50th District Court Judge Cynthia Walker.  WON was established in 1997 and is dedicated to encouraging women to become involved in public policy through elected and appointed office. WON provides networking opportunities for women officials and presents training to inspire and empower current and future policy makers.  For information about the organization, visit http://womenofficialsnetwork.org.
