Oakland County man charged with false terrorism threat

PONTIAC (AP) - A man upset over a child custody case in suburban Detroit has been charged with making a false threat of terrorism.

The Oakland County sheriff's office says 24-year-old Anthony Brodie was arrested Wednesday at his workplace in Ann Arbor. Investigators say the Pontiac man had told an acquaintance that he had been researching the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and would kill Judge Lisa Gorcyca and blow up the county courthouse.

Investigators searched Brodie's home and collected potential evidence. He was scheduled to appear in court by video Thursday. Brodie is in custody and doesn't yet have a lawyer.
