Members of the D. Augustus Straker Bar Association and the Wolverine Bar Association joined forces for a holiday party on December 8 at the Atheneum Hotel in Detroit. Sponsored by Allen Brothers, PLLC, the party also served as a fund-raiser for the Just the Beginning–Detroit Summer Legal Institute, a pipeline program aimed at inspiring young students and increasing diversity in the legal profession and judiciary. Among those attending the party were Denise Page Hood (fourth from right), chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Craig Strong (second from right).
