Bench-Bar and ADR

The Detroit Bar Association hosted a Bench-Bar Luncheon at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center on June 8. The program featured a discussion on “Valuing Cases and Efficient Use of ADR: Everybody Wins!” and provided input on ways the court can assist in reducing litigation costs and resolving cases.  Among the panelists were (front row, left to right) Suzanne Stanczyk, discovery mediator and facilitator; retired Judge Wendy Baxter, facilitator and mediator; Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Patricia Fresard; retired Judge Amy Hathaway, facilitator; retired Judge Kathleen MacDonald, discovery mediator and facilitator; and Carrie Kennedy, staff counsel for Liberty Mutual; along with (back row) David Christensen of David Christensen Law; retired Judge Richard Hathaway, discovery mediator and facilitator; and Paul Millenbach, a partner with Foster Swift.
