The Southeast Chapter of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association presented a luncheon on “Marijuana Lending” on Thursday, July 11, at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Troy. With the passage of Proposal 1 making marijuana legal in Michigan, the impact affects a multitude of industries including mortgage lending. To help address issues and answer questions at the luncheon was attorney Melissa Bridges (center) of Bodman PLC. As a member of the firm’s Banking Practice Group, Bridges represents financial institutions in a range of operational, regulatory compliance, and lending matters.
