The attorneys of Ann Arbor-based Stevenson Keppelman Associates (SKA) joined Butzel Long Sept. 1. in the Ann Arbor office at 301 E. Liberty, Suite 500.
Robert B. Stevenson (Counsel) is a charter fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (ACEBC). Named to every edition of The Best Lawyers in America, he was named Best Lawyers 2013 Ann Arbor Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law “Lawyer of the Year.” Chambers USA has consistently included him and other SKA attorneys among Michigan Lawyers gaining the highest ranking in benefits law.
Nancy Keppelman (Of Counsel) became a fellow in American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (ACEBC) in 2002. She is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, and is among Michigan lawyers given the highest rating in employee benefits law by Chambers USA. A graduate of U-M Law School, she is a past member of the SBM Tax Council and past president of the WLAM-Washtenaw Region.
Andrew Stumpff (Of Counsel is a long-time employee benefits and executive compensation lawyer. A Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel, he has been named a key individual in Michigan employee benefits/compensation law by Chambers USA.
He teaches Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation at MLaw. He received an A.B. in math from Washington University and a J.D. from U-M Law School.
Diane M. Soubly (Of Counsel) focuses her practice on ERISA litigation and labor and employment litigation. She is one of a few attorneys nationally elected Fellows of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel. Included in Best Lawyers for years and as a Super Lawyer, she has more than 30 years of experience in ERISA and employee benefits litigation and plan design, labor and employment counseling and litigation, and appellate litigation.
Mark W. Jane (Senior Attorney) earned his undergrad degree from U-M, and his J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He practices in the area of ERISA, employee benefits, and executive compensation. He is on the Board of Directors of the WCBA, and is a District Representative on the SBM Young Lawyers Section Executive Council.
He served as a co-chair of the WCBA?New Lawyers Section, and received the 2010 Outstanding Young Lawyer Award. He was named a Rising Star by Michigan Super Lawyers 2009-2012.
