In celebration of the 24th Annual Bias Awareness & Inclusion Reception, the Washtenaw County Bar Association, the Vanzetti M. Hamilton Bar Association and The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, Washtenaw Region will host a joint strolling reception, 5:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, October 22, at Weber’s Inn, 3050 Jackson Rd., Ann Arbor.
WCBA will present its Martin Luther King, Jr. “I Have a Dream” Award to Professor Ronald C. Woods, and VHBA will present its Frederick Douglass Racial Justice and Harmony Award to Delphia T. Simpson.
Following the awards presentation, the documentary film “Black and Blue -The Story of Gerald Ford, Willis Ward and the 1934 Michigan-Georgia Tech Football Game,” will be shown, and documentary director, Brian Kruger will give a brief talk.
The cost is $35.
Fliers have been emailed to WCBA members; and the event is open to the public.
