By Jo Mathis
Legal News
Jim Fink will face Carol Kuhnke in the November 6 election for Washtenaw County Circuit Court judge after defeating Erane Washington and Douglas McClure in the Aug. 7 primary.
The winner will take the seat of Judge Melinda Morris, who is retiring.
"I feel great," said Kuhnke, who was photographed on the deck of her Ann Arbor office with her dog, Maisie. "I'm grateful for all the help I've had and the support of my family, friends and colleagues. I look forward to working twice as hard between now and November."
Fink spent part of the morning with his family at his home on Ypsilanti's historic southside.
"I'm very happy and grateful for the support I received from lawyers and judges and the community at large," said Fink, pictured on his porch with his 2-year-old granddaughter, Evie. "I'm looking forward to working hard towards the November election.
