12 local attorneys listed in '2012 Super Lawyers'

Twelve Ann Arbor attorneys have been named "super lawyers" or "rising stars" in the 2012 Super Lawyers rating service of outstanding lawyers.

Honorees are chosen from more than 70 practice areas and have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.

The complete Michigan list represents no more than five percent of all lawyers in the state.

The rising star category recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state who are 40 years old or younger or have been practicing for 10 years or less.
