Kaye selected among 'Women in the Law'
Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP is pleased to announce that Barbara A. Kaye, a partner in the firm's Corporate Department, has been named one of 30 "Women in the Law" for 2015 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.
An editorial panel selected the honorees based on their commitment to excellence in the practice of law, accomplishments as a leader in the profession, service as a mentor to other women, and involvement in the community, including pro bono activities.
Kaye will be honored at a luncheon on Sept. 10 at the Detroit Marriott in Troy and featured in a special section of Michigan Lawyers Weekly to be published on September 14.
Located in the firm's Ann Arbor office, Kaye is an accomplished corporate attorney with significant experience representing public and private sector clients in a broad array of transactions from mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, to the full range of financing transactions, including syndicated financings, private debt placement, 144A offerings and debt restructuring.
She is especially well versed in financing transactions at the senior and mezzanine levels.
Chambers USA has recognized Kaye since 2011 as a leading lawyer in Corporate/M&A, and she has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America since 2009, Michigan Super Lawyers since 2012 and by DBusiness as a Top Lawyer since 2012.
Kaye earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and is a member of the Order of the Coif.
She received a B.A., with highest distinction, from the University of Michigan.
