The State Bar of Michigan’s Labor and Employment Law Section (LELS) will conduct its Mid-Winter Meeting & Distinguished Service Award on Jan. 20, at the Detroit Athletic Club.
The agenda is as follows:
• 1-1:30 p.m. Registration
• 1:30–3:30 p.m. Update Rally MERC Update – Erin M. Hopper of White, Schneider, Young, & Chiodini PC; NLRB Update – Dennis M. Devaney of Varnum LLP; EEO Update – Maria F. Dwyer of Clark Hill; and FMLA, FLSA, and WPA Update – Sarah S. Prescott of Salvatore, Prescott, & Porter.
• 3:30–3:45 p.m. Break
• 3:45–5:30 p.m. Panel discussion on “Ethical Obligations in the Digital Era” featuring National Employment Law Institute contributor Dennis P. Duffy of Baker & Hostetler LLP, moderated by Adam S. Forman of Epstein, Becker, Green.
• 5:30–7 p.m. Reception and Cocktails
• 7–8:30 p.m. Dinner and Presentation of Distinguished Service Award. The Distinguished Service Award is being presented to David B. Calzone and Michael L. Pitt.
• 8:30 p.m. Afterglow
The NLRB Practice and Procedure meeting will also take place from noon to 1 p.m.
The DAC is located at 241 Madison Avenue (between Randolph and John R).Business attire is required (the DAC does not permit t-shirts or denim to be worn in its facility at any time).
