Wendy Eisenshtadt is an attorney with Ayar Law in Southfield, a law firm specializing in tax issues.

The Michigan native grew up in West Bloomfield. After graduating with honors from West Bloomfield High School she attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and earned a BA in political science.

After graduation she moved to San Diego and attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law with a focus on Entertainment Law.

Eisenshtadt lived in Los Angeles during the summer and completed an internship with Paradigm Talent Agency.  After graduation and admittance to the California bar she moved to Los Angeles and worked at William Morris (now William Morris-Endeavor) in TV business affairs assisting the agency in selling television shows to networks.

Eisenshtadt moved back to Michigan in 2009 to be closer to family, and was admitted to the Michigan bar in 2010. She started working in the tax field in 2010.

Why did you become a lawyer? I wanted to be part of a system that helps individuals, groups, and organizations with their legal problems and further the public good.

What’s your favorite law-related TV show, movie, and/or book?
Judgment at Nuremberg, Philadelphia, Judging Amy.

Who is your law role model? Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

What advice do you have for someone considering law school? Make sure to find the school that’s right for you as an individual.

What do you do to relax? Read a good book and listen to music.

What other career path might you have chosen?
Psychologist.

What would you say to your 16-year-old self?
Relax and have fun.

Favorite music: Reggae/Rap/R&B.

What is your happiest childhood memory? Spending time with my mother and grandparents.

What is your most treasured material possession? A ring that belonged to my mother.

What do you wish someone would invent? A cure for cancer.

What has been your favorite year so far and why?
2015, the year my daughter was born.

What’s the most awe-inspiring place you’ve ever been?
Israel.

If you could have one super power, what would it be? Teleportation.

What’s one thing you would like to learn to do?
To cook.

What is something most people don’t know about you?
I am an avid fan of Howard Stern.

If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would they be?
My Mom, Princess Diana, and Nelson Mandela.

What’s the best advice you ever received?
Know your truth.

What is your motto?
“You are confined only by the walls you build yourself.”
