Attorney to discuss immigration issues for non-citizen victims and survivors of IPV

The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan’s Violence Against Women Project will present the webinar “Understanding Immigration Issues for Non-citizen Victim/Survivors of IPV.”

This free, experiential training will take place Thursday, June 30, from noon to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.

PAAM’s Violence Against Women Project will welcome Catherine Villanueva from the Michigan Immigrants’ Rights Center for a lunchtime webinar on understanding immigration issues related to non-citizen victim/survivors of intimate partner violence, including a discussion on U-Visas.

Villanueva has been a staff attorney with the center since 2017 and focuses on immigration relief available to victims of domestic violence and other crimes.

This webinar will include time at the end for a Q &A session.

This training satisfies 1.5 hours of continuing legal educations for purposes of PAAM’s Best Practices Recommendation.
