Michigan Stadium available for weddings

ANN ARBOR (AP) -- If you're planning a wedding and love Michigan football -- or maybe you have a really big guest list -- keep Michigan Stadium in mind. The University of Michigan Athletic Department recently announced that the Big House is available for weddings, corporate events and photo shoots. Renting the field for a one-hour wedding ceremony at Michigan Stadium's 50-yard line costs $6,000. The department says some of its other facilities are available for rent, including the Jack Roth Stadium Club, Regents Guest Area, Athletic Director's Suite, Junge Family Champions Center, Michigan Stadium Press Box and the Golf Course Clubhouse. Stadium photo shoots may be scheduled. And guided tours also will be offered at many Michigan sports facilities.
