Land Bank bus tour scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22nd
Eric Schertzing, Ingham County Treasurer encourages all to join him for a tour of Land Bank homes. Saturday, October 22nd at noon we are sponsoring a 2 hour bus tour of 6 renovated Land Bank properties. It is hard to appreciate the quality until you see the homes. Pick up and drop off location is 230 North Washington in downtown Lansing. Everyone is invited and the tour offers an opportunity to learn more about the Land Bank. Email back your RSVP to kwitfield@ingham.org. Space is limited to 29.
Other Land Bank news:
* The Land Bank Home Showcase on September 18th was a success. It was a nice Sunday afternoon and sales activity has been strong every since. Thank you to all the Realtors who sell Lansing!!
* We have closed on 27 homes this year with 4 more closings scheduled for later this week. Each of the last 2 weeks has also brought 2 additional purchase agreements. Almost 10 pending offer are working toward a close before year end! Chris Kolbe recently joined the Land Bank staff to help coordinate the marketing and sales activity.
* Glad to see Scott Gillespie starting the demolition work on the former gas station at 1621 E Michigan. The property was a 2010 tax foreclosure that the Land Bank marketed for redevelopment. Look for a beautiful 3 story mixed used building to start soon. Thanks to Scott for more investment in Lansing.

As always, please call Eric Schertzing at 517.303.7233 if there are questions.
