Three solar projects part of Consumers Energy program
JACKSON, Mich. (AP) -- Consumers Energy says three solar projects are part of an effort to buy renewable energy from the utility's customers.
The subsidiary of Jackson-based CMS Energy Corp. on Tuesday announced that the three non-residential projects in Kent, Saginaw and Jackson counties were selected as participants in the next phase of the Experimental Advanced Renewable Program.
The Blue Water Grill in Grand Rapids will be included in the effort with its solar system, the city of Saginaw is building a system on a Department of Public Works Building and the city of Jackson is building a system on its wastewater treatment plant.
