Amy J. Durant, who practices in the Ann Arbor office of Bodman PLC, has been appointed Vice Chair of Membership for the Banking Law Committee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association (ABA).
The Banking Law Committee provides educational and practice development opportunities to attorneys from diverse professional backgrounds who represent financial institutions. The committee provides attorneys the opportunity to interact with regulators at meetings and programs and offers classes that are attended and taught by regulators.
Durant is a member of Bodman's Banking Practice Group and heads the firm's community bank team. She represents financial companies, including banks and credit unions, regarding operational, lending, and other regulatory issues.
Active in the ABA for more than five years, Durant is also a member of the ABA's consumer finance committee, the State Bar of Michigan financial institutions committee, and the Michigan Bankers Association retail lending and audit & risk management committees. She is a frequent speaker at events for financial institutions.
