State police says all crime labs keep accreditation
LANSING (AP) -- The head of Michigan State police says her agency's seven forensic science laboratories have all retained their accreditation.
Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue said last Thursday that the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board has extended its approval of operations at the clinics.
State police say the laboratories have been accredited since September 1984.
The department operates labs in Bridgeport, Grand Rapids, Grayling, Lansing, Marquette, Northville and Sterling Heights.
