'Piñatas for Peace' raises funds to reduce bullying, stop violence

The Oakland Mediation Center (OMC) will host its 2nd Annual "Piñatas for Peace Fiesta" on Friday, May 3, 6 p.m. at the Troy Marriott. The event celebrates Cinco de Mayo and features complimentary margaritas, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction during cocktail hour; followed by a southwestern influenced dinner and awards ceremony. Tickets are $100 per person. Proceeds from the event will fund programs that help to prevent and reduce bullying and violence in area schools.
