Drug charges dismissed in strangling probe
GROSSE POINTE PARK (AP) -- Drug charges have been dismissed against a man who was arrested after a woman was found strangled in a suburban Detroit home next door to where he was living.
A Wayne County Circuit Court judge dismissed the case last week against Myron Williams at the prosecution's request. He's never been charged in the killing.
Williams was charged in May with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and delivery of marijuana. He was living with a relative in Grosse Pointe Park.
The prosecutor's office says it moved to dismiss the case because court discovery items related to "a separate investigation" couldn't be given to Williams' lawyer.
Sabrina Gianino was found dead in May. Williams wasn't charged in her death, but prosecutors had said his drug case was part of a homicide investigation.
