Free seminar presented by Probate Court
The Citizens Alliance for the Oakland County Probate and Circuit Courts will conduct a free seminar titled "Removing the Mysteries of Probate Court" at the Auburn Hills Senior Services Department on Wednesday, April 23, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
This program is designed to enlighten and educate senior citizens and their families so that they may make informed decisions regarding their estate planning and understand the probate process. The Auburn Hills Senior Services Department is located at 1827 N. Squirrel Road in Auburn Hills.
The seminar will provide attendees with information on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, how to begin probate proceedings, when to consider use of guardianships and conservatorships and how "avoiding probate" could cause more harm than good.
Panelists will include Jill Koney Daly, probate register for the Oakland County Probate Court, and attorney Sara Rubino of Barron, Rosenberg, Mayoras, & Mayoras PC in Troy. Materials will be available and adequate time will be available for questions.
To register for this free seminar, contact the Auburn Hills Senior Services Department at 248-370-9353.
