Oakland County budget balanced through 2018
Oakland County's budget is balanced through Fiscal Year 2018, County Executive L. Brooks Patterson announced last Friday. Patterson's "Summary of Future Operating Issues and Related Resolution" is posted on the county's website outlining why no county departments will have budget tasks (cuts) in that same time frame.
"2018 is an additional year of stability in our budget," Patterson said. "Thank you to our countyâ?wide elected officials, Board of Commissioners and dedicated employees for continuing to collaborate and share the economic burden for the betterment the county in these leaner times."
The summary report forms the basis for Patterson's recommended three-year budget. Patterson will deliver his recommended budget message for FY 2015- 2017 to the Board of Commissioners on Wednesday, July 16, at 7 p.m. in the Board of Commissioners Auditorium. To read the complete 22-page summary report, go to www.oakgov.com/exec and click on "Budget Updates & Resources."
