Rochester Hills man sentenced in federal jury tampering case

DETROIT (AP) - A Rochester Hills man has been sentenced to nearly three years in prison for jury tampering and lying to federal agents. The U.S. Attorney's Office says Marcus Little was sentenced last Thursday to 34 months in federal prison. The 51-year-old was convicted in September for his actions related to a trial he attended in May 2011. The trial in Ann Arbor involved three defendants charged with defrauding financial institutions of more than $7 million. Little drove to a juror's home during a break in the trial and tried to influence the juror on behalf of the defendants. The juror reported the incident. Little lied to agents during the investigation that followed. The lies helped FBI and U.S. Marshals Service agents determine that Little had tried to influence the juror.
