Man gets life in dismemberment

DETROIT (AP) - A man convicted of killing a Detroit-area couple and dumping their body parts into the Detroit River has been ordered to spend the rest of his life in prison. The Wayne County prosecutor's office says Roger Bowling was sentenced Wednesday in Detroit. He has no chance at parole. Bowling was found guilty last month of first-degree murder, dismemberment and other charges in the slayings of 32-year-old Danielle Greenway and 42-year-old Chris Hall at their home in Allen Park. Authorities found the remains of Greenway and Hall in the Detroit River and an adjoining canal in July 2012. According to police, Bowling knew Greenway from a previous relationship and had been living with her and Hall for about a month before the killings. Police say the victims were shot and dismembered.
