Seminar on the Affordable Care Act offered by SBA
The U.S. Small Business Administration's Michigan District Office and the Detroit Regional Chamber will present "Health Reform and the Future of Your Small Business" on Thursday, Feb. 12, at Grand Valley State University located at 163 Madison in Detroit.
The program is designed to help small business owners better understand the health care law and features key experts from the MI Health Answers initiative of the Detroit Regional Chamber and the Small Business Majority-a national small business advocacy organization whose focus is on solving the biggest problems facing small businesses today.
Speakers will provide factual, unbiased information on the rules and regulations of the Affordable Care Act, discuss strategic application of the law, and explore the challenges of communicating health benefits with employees. Small business owners who have questions or don't fully understand their responsibilities as an employer should not miss this opportunity.
SBA representatives will be on-site to assist small business owners and connect them to SBA funded resources.
Registration and complimentary continental breakfast begins at 10 a.m. The program starts at 10:30 a.m. and concludes at noon. There is no charge to attend. For additional information and to register, visit www.smallbizhealthreform.eventbrite.com.
