The 54-B District Court in East Lansing will be closed to the public on Friday, Jan. 27, for conducting a physical case inventory, required annually by the Supreme Court.
Court offices will not be open for walk-in arraignments or payments. Previously scheduled courtroom activity, including felony preliminary exams, may be conducted. Defendants and witnesses should report directly to the appropriate courtroom.
The Court’s Criminal Division’s telephones will not be in service on Thursday, Jan. 26, as the Criminal Division’s inventory will take place Jan. 26-27.
Drop boxes are available at the Police Desk and City Hall Parking Lot for filings and payments, or they can be made at www.54bdistrictcourt.com.
